Takashi Doscher is a writer/director from Atlanta, Ga. In 2010, he became the youngest director to sell a film to ESPN when he sold his feature doc, A Fighting Chance, at the age of 22. Since then he has written and directed short films, advertisements, and music videos that have been featured on the front page of Vimeo, USA Today, and MTV for clients such as Virgin, Nike, Absolut, and Subaru. He has won additional awards for his editing on the feature, Snow on the Bluff, a gritty crime drama produced by Academy Award winner, Damon Russell, and Michael K. Williams of HBO’s The Wire. Most recently Takashi was named on the Tracking Board’s 2015 HIT List and the 2015 Young & Hungry List for his spec script, The Life Inside.
Takashi is currently writing for the soon-to-be-released BitTorrent television show, Children of the Machine. He is also in pre-production to direct his feature film titled ONLY (produced by Ineffable Pictures and Floren & Shieh), starring Eve Hewson and James Norton. He has two additional projects in development: a sci-fi thriller called Mallie with Intrepid Pictures and a television series with Warner Bros. Workshop called Carbon Copies.
Takashi’s narrative work often depicts the conflict between science and the human condition, a reflection of his educational background in Physics and English.
